It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Steve Ankers (author of "Northern Soles" and "It's a Dog's Life for the Other Half").
A witty and compassionate man who cared deeply about the environment and social justice, Steve continued to blog and campaign throughout his illness. Steve will be sorely missed. We send our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
