In an article published on 6th August 2021, Vivien Prais, (Director of Aspal Press) explained why she felt it was so important to publish an English translation of Swedish author, Nan Östman's "Some Kind of Company". Nan Östman was an award-winning novelist who was, for many years, the most frequently borrowed author from Swedish libraries. "Some Kind of Company" is a touching and surprising novel about loneliness, ageing and hope. Vivien Prais describes the novel as "The antidote to an overdose of Swedish noir."
