On 28th July 2021, The Monmouthshire Beacon published an article by Robert Nurden about the life of his extraordinary grandfather, Stanley James (1869-1951) who was a cowboy in Canada, a Congregational minister in the UK and died as a convert to Catholicism. Despite his religious work and writing, it seems that Stanley James (who was married and had seven children) had a few dark secrets which Robert managed uncover while researching the book.
