Focusing on Stephen Jackley's time spent in their local prison, HMP Hewell, The Redditch & Alcester Standard (15th September 2023) published a good article about Stephen's book (out 2nd October 23), "Just Time: A Journey Through Britain's Fractured Justice System" and quoted Stephen as describing UK prisons as, "universities of crime - holding pens for society's rejects - a sorry excuse for punishment. There are better ways."
